Richard Ramsay Reinagle is the son of another painter featured in the AKC Gallery collection — the renowned Philip Reinagle. Richard Ramsay Reinagle studied in Holland and Italy, eventually settling in London where he was elected to the Royal Academy. A skillful copyist, Reinagle was asked to restore the cartoons of Leonardo de Vinci at the Royal Academy in 1823. |
